Abstract

The article presents the results of the study of the peculiarities of perception of mental and somatic diseases in patients with schizophrenia, comorbid with cardio vascular diseases, type 2 diabetes and obesity. It is established that patients with schizophrenia with somatic diseases are characterized by a low level of self-esteem of their own health in general and separately mental and physical health. The safety of criticality and the presence of a high level of cognitive ideas about mental illness, as well as its signifi cant impact on the psychoemotional state of patients, are noted. The greatest threat to somatic disorders in the perception of patients with schizophrenia is cardiovascular disease, the least threatening is obesity, which is perceived by the consequence of mental illness.
