Relevance. Alcohol use disorders remain the leading risk factor for premature death and disability in the world, as well as a heavy burden on the health of modern society, with 3.4% of the adult population of the European Union being alcohol dependent. It should be emphasized that current clinical guidelines emphasize the importance of the relationship between pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy/psychological care, which should complement each other in the treatment of people with alcohol use disorders.
