Abstract
The purpose of the work is to study the state of sexual health, the type of family relations and functioning of the family in combatants, in order to identify possible resource sources for maintaining harmonious family interaction and targets for further psychocorrective work.
During 2015—2017, 100 demobilized soldiers who had participated in military actions and their wives were examined comprehensively. The study was conducted using clinical-psychopathological and psychodiagnostic methods. According to the criterion of success of marital relations, the examined families were divided into two groups. The main group consisted of 72 married couples with family health disorders, and the comparison group included 28 successful married couples.
It was established that in families of combatants with signifi cant marital dissatisfaction (29.0 %), there is a severe violation of sexual realization, a destructive type of family relations and a pathological congruence of severe non-fulfi llment of most family functions by the spouses. Families of combatants with relative marital dissatisfaction (43.0%) were distinguished by sexual health disorders, a relatively destructive type of family, and a incongruent indicator of partial failure to perform family functions. For families of combatants who were satisfi ed with their marital relations (28.0 %), violations of sexuality were not characteristic, they were characterized by a constructive type of family relations and the congruent successful performance of most family functions.
The obtained data was taken by us as the basis for the development of a set of measures for psychocorrection and psychological support for the health of the family of combatants.
