Abstract

The study of phenomenological manifestations of psychological disadap tation in combatants with an eye injury and partial loss of vision against established significant differences between those who took part in the hostilities with psychological maladjustment without injury and a group of patients with a domestic eye injury and partial loss. Combatants demonstrated marked changes in all analyzed areas of mental activity. In the presence of injury, personality-oriented changes prevailed, aimed at impro ving all areas of life of the victim. In the domestic character of damage, these indicators were signifi cantly lower and approached the standard level. Participants in the fighting had a heightened tendency for neurotic disorders, especially in the presence of eye injury. Thus, participants in hostilities with eye injury with partial loss of vision and without such and psychological maladjustment are unidirectional and more pronounced with eye injury changes Neurotic manifestations resulting from injury are more pronounced against the background of maladaptive changes. Psychological changes as a result of eye injuries and disadaptation phenomena have diff erent origins that need to be taken into account in their correction.
