Abstract

The paper analyzes the sociodemographic, clinical-dynamic and clinical-psychopathological features of schizophrenia which combined with chronic cardiovascular disorders (CVD). 50 schizophrenia patients with comorbid CVD and 50 patients with schizophrenia without chronic CVD were examined. It is established that the presence of chronic CVD worsens the social realization of schizophrenic patients (reduces professional status and limits social contacts), intensifi es psychopathological symptoms, in particular hallucinations, hypochondria and anxious-depressive manifestations
