Abstract

The research includes clinical, psychological and psychodiagnostic observation of 383 patients with cerebrovascular pathology (CVP) of varying levels of manifestation: from a high risk of developing a disease due to the presence of cardiovascular risk factors (with its clinical and laboratory verifi cation), to a vascular catastrophe in anamnesis.

It was revealed that the higher level of stress in patients with high cardiovascular risk and CVP caused by high intensity of behavioral and psychoemotional stress-potentiating factors. With the progression of the disease, the role of the psychoemotional stress component is increasing, which indicates about the important role of mental patterns in the course of pathology. Health problems is one of the main stress-potentiating factors that triggers a cascade of psychological and behavioral reactions.

The higher level of stress, the infl uence of a wide range of stress-potentiating factors, especially psychoemotional genesis, in patients with cardiovascular risk and CVP, suggest the need to developing, organizing and implementing psychological measures for this contingent of patients based on a health-centered approach.
