The new EPA Action Plan 2025–2027 “Leaving no one behind – a roadmap for better and personalized mental health care” will address six areas.
1. Treatment delivery and settings of care (including digital psychiatry, workplace, school-based treatments)
2. Precision Psychiatry (refinement and tailoring of diagnostic and treatment approaches)
3. Brain health (genetic, biological and psychosocial determinants of brain development, mental health and mental illnesses)
4. Whole Person Health
5. Public mental health (prevention, promotion of mental health across the lifespan)
6. Stigma and discrimination (including protection of minorities’ mental health)
The six tasks of the EPA Action Plan will be addressed through the involvement of European experts (including users and carers), who will work at three different levels: education, clinical practice, and advocacy.
Each task force will produce consensus documents, statements, clinical guidelines, and educational materials, as well as surveys and research projects, with the involvement of some of the most important European scientific
associations and advocacy groups.
