Abstract The research of neurophysiology of brain structures which play key part in epileptogenesis is presented. They show dependence between psychological processes and the origin of epileptic attack. The hippocampus, amygdala, prefront cortex can regulate emotional processes and their integration with intellectual ones as well as turning on and cutting off consciousness. The epileptic attack takes place when there is some disturbance of “normal conversion”, i. e. accumulation or complication of emotional suff erings are transferred to other feelings and pain. These kinds of epilepsy are formed on account of genetic predisposition and epigenetic infl uence as will as stresses experienced in the wrong way. Epilepsy de velopment within 5—6 years can cause cortex dysplasia in the area of prefront cortex. These kinds of epilepsy are classifi ed as idiopathic. As a rule, they are resistant to medical treatment and can be cured with the help of deep psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
