Анотація

В статті наведені останні дані про причини, фактори ризику, клінічні особливості судинної деменції (СД). Показано еволюцію поглядів на термінологію СД. Розглянуто патогенез СД і зроблений акцент на той факт, що сьогодні СД розглядається як змішана деменція. Подано класифікацію та критерії діагностики СД. Відображено основні стратегії лікування і  профілактики СД та її основного прояву — когнітивних порушень.
