Abstract This publication provides an overview of plenary symposia and poster sessions of the 26th   European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (October 5—9 2013, Barcelona, Spain) concerning some important issues bi-polar af ective disorder and includes (1) the multidimensional perspective of bipolar mixed states; (2) outcomes and comorbidity.
