Abstract Epidemiological studies suggest that in the structure of mental pathology anxiety disorders are the second ones after mood disorders in terms of prevalence. The aim of this study was to investigate clinical-psychopathological peculiarities of anxiety disorders of neurotic and organic genesis and their dynamics during the process of therapy. Fifty patients with anxiety disorders of neurotic genesis and 25 patients with anxiety disorders of organic genesis were examined. Peculiarities of a clinical picture taking into account psychic and somatic-autonomous components of these disorders as well as diff erences on «Integrative Anxiety Test» scale points were defi ned. An effi cacy of therapy with Afobazol in combination with psychotherapy on different treatment stages (stabilizing, maintaining, and prevention) of these disorders was demonstrated.
