Abstract The study established 420 patients (210 men and 210 women) a number of important gender differences in clinical characteristics pathodynamic schizophrenia. There were signifi cant diff erences in heredity, debut feature, the structure of the clinical symptoms of schizophrenia in men and women, the time characteristics of the disease, as well as in the structure of productive deficit and general symptoms. Functional diagnosis of schizophrenia showed signifi cant diff erences in the structure of the internal picture of disease, a form of adaptive behavior and levels of adaptive resources of the individual, taking into account sex, which gives grounds to speak about various rehabilitation potential of men and women.
