The article discusses current research devoted to the analysis of modern methods of surgical treatment of ischemic stroke, in particular, mechanical thrombectomy; The prevalence, risks and mechanisms of occurrence, clinical manifestations and methods of treatment of the most common psychiatric and psychosocial consequences of ischemic stroke are considered. It was found that in the current literature there is a lack of research into the effect of mechanical thrombectomy on the risk of occurrence and characteristics of the clinical manifestations of these consequences of ischemic stroke. In addition, it was determined that the most effective method of treating this category of patients is an integrated and individualized approach involving a wide range of specialists, in particular in the field of mental health, a combination of medication and psychotherapeutic treatment; Of particular importance in the context of post-hospital rehabilitation are psychosocial activities with elements of psychoeducation for patients and their relatives. A promising scientific search is in the development of comprehensive measures aimed at solving the problem of psychiatric and psychosocial consequences of mechanical thrombectomy in patients who have suffered an ischemic stroke.
