A n a l ys i s a n d s u m m a r i z i n g of scientific information about adverse influence that alcoholics have over formation of adaptation disorders of their family members was conducted. The analysis was based on systematic approach to the spreading of such disorders, their clinical structure, phenomenology, and risk factors. Alcohol abuse affects both family as a whole and each family member personally and so leads to formation of adaptation disorders. Their main clinical sets of symptoms are astheno-neurotic and anxiety-depressive. Factors of adaptation disorder formation that linked to alcohol abuse by family members are conflictive and disharmonious relations within family which do not satisfy needs of family members and lead to conflicts and mental disadaptation.
