Abstract This article is devoted to the role of comorbidity in the development and course of hepatocerebral dystrophy (GCD). Given the large clinical and pathogenetic polymorphism in patients with HCD, there is reason to consider this disease from the standpoint of comorbidity. First of all, this is transsyndromic comorbidity, due to coexistence in patients with abdominal (hepatic or renal) and cerebral (neurological or mental) pathogenetically related syndromes. Also, we noted that this disease can also have transnosological comorbidity, due to the fact that these patients develop a neurodegenerative process, leading to the development of various vascular pathologies, due to the development of the syndrome of early vascular aging. It was shown that the presence of comorbidity in patients with Wilson’s disease should be taken into account when choosing a diagnostic algorithm and treatment for the syndrome of the disease, which in turn will make it possible to achieve not only an increase in duration, but also an improvement in the quality of life.
Key words hepatocerebral dystrophy, comorbidity, diagnosis, treatment
