Abstract The aim of the study was to evaluate the features of cytokine regulation in patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy in the implementation of antiepileptic action of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). The dynamics of changes in the parameters of the cytokine profi le is studied, depending on the type of epileptic seizures and the applied therapy. It has been shown that for patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy there is an increase in the content of proinfl ammatory cytokines IL-6, TNF-α, IL-1β. Under the infl uence of TMS therapy, the content of proinfl ammatory cytokines was signifi cantly lower, with a maximum reduction in patients 6 months after initiation of therapy. The most pronounced dynamics was in patients who received TMS repeated courses. After 12 months, the positive eff ect of TMS was exhausted, which necessitates the use of repeated dynamic treatment of patients with pharmacokinetic resistance to epilepsy with the use of TMS courses.
