Abstract On the basis of analysis and compilation of socio-psychological and psycho-diagnostic study of 192 surgeons and therapeutic profile physicians with the signs of professional disadaptation, individual psychological predictors of professional disadaptation forming, specifi c features of personal coping resources, communicative settings and level of communicative tolerance, dominant coping strategies and behavior patterns of physicians of relevant socio-professional groups with the signs of professional disadaptation were identifi ed. Based on these data, system of psychological correction and psychoprophylaxis, presenting a single coherent system of corrective and psychoprophylactic actions, which identifi ed targets were components of the psychological disadaptation phenomenon, namely pathological emotional state, negative communicative settings, maladaptive personality traits and behavioral patterns, was founded, developed and implemented to fi ght against professional disadaptation of surgeons and therapeutic profi le physicians. It was found that the use of a single developed coherent system of psychocorrective and psychoprophylactic impacts including theoretical, practice-oriented and developing blocks to reduce the negative manifestations of the personal characteristics that impede effective professional adaptation, improve the overall emotional state, attitudes toward professional work, enhances the eff ectiveness of professional activity.
