Abstract 128 patients with neurotic disorders and 105 persons from the general population were examined. Anthropological characteristics of the patients were analyzed. It was pointed out a prevalence of persons of Alpine anthropological type (AT) among the patients with neurasthenia, a prevalence of persons of Dinaric, Armenoid, and Paleo- European ATs among the patients with anxious-phobic disorder, and a prevalence of persons of Alpine, Atlanto-Baltic, and Uralic ATs among the patients with somatoform autonomous dysfunction. Psychophysiological peculiarities of patients with neurotic disorders were defi ned depending on an anthropological type.
