Abstract Atopic dermatitis in children — a serious interdisciplinary medical problem that occur in everyday practice, doctors of various specialties. However, a thorough psychological research in this area isolated. In paper was investigated major psychological problems and emotional features of adolescents suff ering from atopic dermatitis. Found that in children with this disease are specifi c diseaseassociated psychological problems. Psychoemotional state of patients is characterized by a wide spectrum of adolescent anxiety and depressive feelings associated not only with the disease but also a significant interaction with the environment, self-expression. The shift in the psychological functioning of children negatively aff ect social adaptation and adolescents need psychological treatment.
