Abstract Literature on variations of classification of pathogenesis tremor and essential tremor in particular have been summarized, also the prevalence, clinical and differential features and the protocol of Minor's tremor treatment war reviewed. The problem of neurodegeneration in patients with essential tremor was reviewed. Own clinical studies of evaluation of the anaprilin and "Topiromax" eff ectiveness in patients with essential tremor have been presented and analyzed. The differentiation between essential tremor and tremor in Parkinson's disease has been made. In conclusion it must be stressed that both drugs are eff ective, but "Topiromax" turned to be safer with minimal side-spectrum properties.
Key words essential tremor, diff erential diagnosis, treatment, "Topiromax".
