Abstract In order to investigate clinical-psychopathological peculiarities of psychiatrically comorbid depressions 189 patients with depression (F32.0 — F32.1) accompanied with comorbid mental and addictive disorders were examined. These patients formed the main group of the study including 59 patients with comorbid anxiety disorders (F41.0 — F41.1), 55 patients with comorbid personality disorders (F60.3 and F60.6), and 75 patients with comorbid alcohol dependence (F10.20, F10.21 and F10.25). The control group consisted of 52 patients with depression (F32.0 — F32.1) without comorbid psychiatric pathology. Peculiarities of psychopathological symptoms, a syndrome and phenomenological structure of depression combined with mental and addictive disorders were investigated. Peculiarities of clinical manifestations of comorbid mental and addictive pathology have been analyzed. On the base of the results obtained specifi c clinical-psychopathological criteria for diagnosis of psychiatrically comorbid depressions were defi ned.
