Abstract In patients with alcoholic delirium valuable tool in the evaluation of clinical status and deepening perceptions of pathogenetic mechanisms could be neurological symptoms. One of these symptoms can be the size of the pupils eyeballs. In comparative terms understood fundamental and clinical manifestations of complex laboratory parameters by which the estimated parameters of water-osmotic condition and direction of metabolic processes in patients with alcoholic delirium and signs according miosis or mydriasis. Found that the expansion area and depth of the lesion hypothalamic structures in the development of pathological process in alcoholic delirium signifi cantly aff ects the outcome of disease in terms of estimated Rating Scale for DRS severity of clinical symptoms, duration of the period of mental disorders, the number of somatic complications and survival of patients.
