Abstract It was carried out an examination of 74 patients with depressive disorders of an endogenous genesis including 44 patients with symptoms of anxiety and 30 patients without such symptoms. The investigation revealed that a general anxiety in patient with anxious symptoms in the structure of endogenous depression had a multicomponent and heterogenic structure including aff ective, phobic and somatic components of anxiety, an anxious assessment of perspectives, and a social defend reaction. Patients from the main group were characterized with a high personal and reactive anxiety embracing all domains of the social functioning and manifesting not only as anxious emotional conditions but also in an attitude to various life aspects: a decreasing of a general motivation, an appearance and maintenance of diff erent fears and apprehensions. Patients from the comparison group were characterized with a moderate level of anxiety, asthenia, and passivity as well as situational concerns about the future and avoidance of social contacts.
